Larissa Potapov is a freelance dancer, choreographer and videographer based in Hamburg since 2018. 


She completed her five-year dance studies at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts, during which she presented her first own choreography Infinity 2.0 at the Festspielhaus Hellerau.


From 2012-2018 she was a dancer in the dance company of the Volkstheater Rostock, where she worked with choreographers such as Katja Taranu, Elias Lazaridis and Johannes Härtl. Here she has produced numerous trailers and video stage projections for dance, drama and musical theater.

She danced the duet Mushrooms Zone by Khai Ngoc Vu, which was awarded 1st prize at the Ayang Young Choreographer Competition in Daegu, South Korea in 2018.


She has also made guest appearances at Kampnagel, Festspielhaus Hellerau, Hamburg State Opera, and internationally in Portugal and Chile, among others. She danced with the Canadian company Corpus Dance Projects in Denmark and will tour Norway and Germany in the summer of 2022.

In Hamburg she has worked as a dancer with choreographers such as Marcelo Doño, Sabine Glenz, Guy Marsan and José Vidal. She is co-founder of the feminist dance collective Kollektiva, with which she has performed at numerous festivals in Hamburg, Berlin and Bremen.

Videographic works have been created in collaboration with Israel Akpan Sunday, Marcelo Doño, Ann-Leonie Niss, Yamile A. Navarro L. and Teresa Lucia Forstreuter, among others.

Together with Ann-Leonie Niss she forms the choreographer duo NISS | POTAPOV. Her first own dance theater production But what if you fly? will premiere on October 1, 2022 at the LICHTHOF Theater in Hamburg.
